Vintage Glam

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

A few weeks back, we featured a beautifully bright photo shoot, and while light and bright makes our hearts happy, we are also a sucker for the dark glam we sometimes see.

Julian Events, Jason Dominigues Photography, and A Day to Adore Photography put together a simply stunning vintage glam shoot recently and we are excited to share it with you!

The Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland was an amazing space for this shoot. Its deep tones and regal walls were complemented by decor from Noir Arts and Oddities, a unique-to-Kansas City store, located in the West Bottoms district. Tip Top Tux provided the elegant grooms wear and the brides eye-catching black and white dress came from another exclusive to KC store, The Gown Gallery. Several photos also feature a beautiful, lace detailed choice from Birdies Lingerie.

Now, we have got to talk about the bride’s jaw-dropping hair and make up!

A lovely choice was made for her eye makeup: all of the shades used were matte. Beginning with a skin-tone inner corner shade and transitioning to an outer corner "V" shape, the cat-eye look that we all love was created.

Lashes were added for depth and drama.

Soft blush enhanced her high cheekbones. To complete her dramatic, vintage look, a deep red was added to her lips. A low, classic roll was a fitting style for her hair.

The end result is simply stunning!

Whenever we can, we love sharing photo shoots with you! From bright and airy, to dark and dramatic, we enjoy creating a look that fits with your personal style.

On your wedding day, we are all about you!
